Working with Integrity
We operate in 150 countries and territories, and in each one, we uphold the highest ethical standards when working with our colleagues, consumers, and partners. Our Code of Conduct applies to all employees, officers, and members of the Board of Directors of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., including our global subsidiaries and affiliates. We also expect our suppliers, independent contractors, partners, consultants, temporary workers, and distributors to follow the law and the principles of our Code when they work on behalf of the company. Suppliers must also follow our Supplier Code of Conduct. Our Code applies wherever we do business for ELC—whether in our facilities, in the field, in our offices, or working remotely.
Any request for a waiver of our Code by an executive officer, senior financial officer, or Board member must be reviewed by the Audit Committee or by another committee chosen by the Board.

Making Ethical Decisions
Every decision we make should reflect ELC’s values and follow our Code. When faced with a tough decision, ask yourself:
Is it legal?
Proceed.
Stop.
Is it ethical and in line with our Code and values?
Proceed.
Stop.
Would I feel comfortable if this were shared publicly or on social media?
Proceed.
Stop.
We expect all employees, officers, and Board members to act responsibly and follow the laws of the countries and territories where we do business. This means not just following the rules but also setting a positive example for others—even outside of work. Our actions, whether at work or elsewhere, reflect on the company and our brand.
